Eco Friendly Paint!

Since today's post has to be about a environmentally friendly product, I picked paint because everyone uses paint at one point in their lives. Paint can be very dangerous to the environment especially if it gets in our water. I kills fish and other marine life as well as hurts the animals that drink the water. Paint can also be very dangerous to the people who breath it, it has many different toxins that have negative effects on your body.

There are many different types of eco friendly paints. The first one I am going to talk about is a very well known brand, Benjamin Moore. It has many different types of paints and many of the different lines are environmentally friendly. The "Ben" paint is environmentally friendly and comes in interior and exterior paints. They also have a paint line called "Natura" which has zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and is virtually odorless. Another line they have is called "Green (Promise Paint)," they say that this is their most environmentally friendly paint that they supply.

Another paint that is eco friendly is Cloverdale Paint's Horizon paint. It is designed to reduce polluting vapours and odours released into the air which can be harmful or irritating to the user or occupants of the areas being painted. It has a low odour, is mildew resistant and has low VOCs. It is also Green Wise certified.
Rona has a really cool paint called Eco. It is recycled paint. RONA ECO paint is made of 90% recycled quality paint. According to a greenhouse gas assessment recycled paint manufacture reduces GHG emissions by 75%. Even the container and label are made out of recycled materials. Rona also has eco friendly paint rollersand roller refills.

There are so are so many different environmentally friendly paints and paint products out there, so maybe next time you paint you should consider using some of these products!
